FAQ
How does Whois-privacy work?
With most domain name registrations, private information
(like name, phone number, address and e-mail address) are shown in the
publicly available Whois. In order for that information to be kept
private, we replace it with our information. The main reason for Whois
privacy is to prevent unethical people from harvesting ownerinformation
for spamming activities. The actual owner information is however kept in
our private database.
Do you become the owner of the domain name?
No. Our information is merely listed in the Whois as a proxy towards the actual owner.
What if a domain name with your contact information is engaging in illegal activities?
If that is the case, do let us know! We don't allow this and will
take action against it. If needed and under the appropriate
circumstances, we will reveal the actual owner information to for
example law enforcement.
How can I contact you?
The best way to contact us is via one of the links on the contact-page.
We will get back to you within a maximum of two working days. If you
contact us via any other way, do take into account that it make take
longer before we respond. So do use one of the online forms.
